The Eagle Has Landed!

Just updating the updates here.  EAGLEBURGER, a 120 page full color graphic novel, created by Rudy Dean, Jef Stout, and Gabe Ostley is now finished. These intrepid explorers are currently on the hunt for publishers. They are also eyeing oddkredenzas.com with a lustful hunger in their minds. Perhaps soon they shall start the show there. Anticipate. Eagerly. Because it's about to get REAL. To Be Continued...

Eagleburger Finito

Moments ago I just added the final inks to the last of the Eagleburger pages. The ship has sailed, this bird has flown. When Rudy and Jef and I began talking about this little ditty it was September 11, 2011. Almost exactly a year ago, and 10 years since 911. Strange timing swirling in these mists. But it feels like the right time to release something that feels like 'Evil Dead 2 in Area 51 starring the Muppets and written by Hunter S. Thompson and William S. Burroughs.' As we stare in the sights of Dec 21, 2012 and the end of the world, it'll be good to read something like this as the volcanoes explode and John Cusack flies by. Laughing maniacally. Dang him. But yeah, Eagleburger. What happens now? Well, I dunno to be honest. This year my mantra has just been to stick nose to grindstone and rarely come up for air. I didn't even give myself much time to think: What happens when you finish? So what now? What now? Well...after working with Sam Little and his Kung Fu Monkeyface for a couple of years, it seems like the right thing to do is to start uploading Eagleburger as a webcomic. Although I yearn for a print copy in my greasy hands, it seems like all the good stuff starts life as free webcomics. So with that in mind we'd like to ask that you keep your eyes on oddkredenzas.com. There's a counter on there right now- though it's not correct. But I imagine sometime in September we'll begin unloading this madness. It should be a fun ride and I hope you'll join us as we follow a young CIA agent named Dale Eagleburger stumble and fall deeply into every US conspiracy since Roswell. To be continued...

Post Production It Up!

Whoo-ha! Had to nose to the grindstone it there for awhile to catch up on Eagleburger work. But things are looking good now. I hit upon the right color scheme- a blast of punchy primary colors, with muted tones for the flashbacks- and am now midway through the coloring and lettering on Chapter #2. With luck we’ll be able to wrap up the whole book by September. Me hopes!
